1. Agreement to these terms
By creating an account, accepting an invitation or using Ministrio, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you use Ministrio for a church, ministry or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.
Ministrio is intended primarily for organisations and authorised users acting in connection with them, rather than consumers purchasing the service mainly for personal use.
2. The service
Ministrio provides branded online spaces where organisations can organise, publish, search and share resources. Features may include collections, lesson series, access controls, member and leader roles, campuses, custom branding, search and subscription administration.
We may improve or change the service over time. We will not materially reduce paid core functionality during a current subscription term without reasonable notice, except where necessary for security, law or prevention of abuse.
3. Accounts and authority
- You must provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
- You must keep credentials confidential and use reasonable security measures.
- Accounts are personal and must not be shared.
- Organisation owners and administrators control invitations, roles, access and organisation settings.
- You must notify us promptly at hello@ministrio.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our breach of these terms.
4. Subscriptions, fees and taxes
Available features and usage limits depend on the selected plan. Prices, billing intervals and included allowances are shown before purchase. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected interval until cancelled. Stripe processes payments and may require separate payment details and terms.
The organisation authorises us and Stripe to charge applicable subscription fees and taxes using the selected payment method. Except where law requires otherwise or we expressly agree, fees already paid are non-refundable and plan changes or cancellation take effect as described during the billing flow.
If payment is overdue, we may limit paid features or suspend access after reasonable notice. Organisation content will not be deleted merely because a plan limit is exceeded; creation of new content or other actions may be restricted until usage or the plan is adjusted.
5. Organisation content and ownership
The organisation and its users retain their rights in resources, branding and other content submitted to Ministrio. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, copy, process, transmit and display that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the service and comply with law.
The organisation is responsible for its content, its accuracy, its access settings and ensuring it has all necessary rights, permissions and lawful bases. If content includes personal information, the organisation is responsible for its controller obligations and Ministrio will process that information under the applicable data-processing terms.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Ministrio to:
- break the law, infringe intellectual-property, privacy or other rights, or encourage unlawful conduct;
- upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, interfere with availability or bypass security and access controls;
- access another organisation’s data without authorisation;
- send spam, phishing messages, deceptive communications or abusive content;
- scrape, reverse engineer or probe the service except where law expressly permits it;
- resell, sublicense or provide the service to third parties unless agreed in writing;
- store highly sensitive information where the service has not been expressly approved for that purpose.
7. Privacy and confidentiality
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Each party will protect the other party’s non-public confidential information, use it only for the relationship contemplated by these terms, and disclose it only to people who need it and are bound by appropriate confidentiality duties. This does not cover information that is public through no breach, independently developed, lawfully received from another source or required to be disclosed by law.
8. Our intellectual property
Ministrio and its licensors retain all rights in the service, software, design, documentation and branding, excluding organisation content. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during the applicable subscription solely as permitted here. Feedback may be used to improve the service without restriction or payment, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.
9. Third-party services
Ministrio relies on third-party infrastructure, authentication, email and payment services. Their availability and processing may be governed by their own terms. We remain responsible for our obligations under these terms but are not responsible for third-party products that you choose to connect or access independently.
10. Availability and support
We aim to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Maintenance, security incidents, internet conditions and events outside reasonable control may affect availability. Support level and response priority depend on the selected plan. We may perform maintenance or emergency work when reasonably necessary.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time, and an organisation owner may cancel a subscription through the available billing controls. We may suspend or terminate access where fees remain unpaid, use creates a security or legal risk, these terms are materially breached, or continued provision becomes unlawful. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
After termination, access may end and content may be deleted following a reasonable account-closure period, subject to organisation instructions, backup cycles and legal retention duties. Organisations should export required information before closure. Terms intended by their nature to survive—including ownership, confidentiality, payment obligations and liability provisions—will continue.
12. Warranties
We will provide Ministrio with reasonable care and skill. Except for that commitment and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as available” without implied warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose or that every error will be corrected. Ministrio is a resource platform and does not provide legal, pastoral, financial or professional advice.
13. Liability
Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue or loss of goodwill arising from these terms, to the extent permitted by law. Our aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the fees paid or payable by the affected organisation during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve a dispute by contacting each other. If it cannot be resolved, it may be brought before the competent courts of Norway, subject to any mandatory rights or venue rules that apply.
15. Changes and general terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service, law or security requirements. We will post the revised terms and give reasonable advance notice of material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
You may not transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, reorganisation, sale or transfer of the service. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remainder remains effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms and referenced documents are the entire agreement regarding the service unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
